How long will the sealing last?

We use an elastic based silicone caulking at the exterior base of your home.
The exterior caulking that we use, comes with a 50-year warranty. Due to normal
ware & tear, the only areas that may need touching up after a time would be the
exterior doors.

Are there any chemicals involved when sealing a house?
